Being selected for the enrichment program at my school requires you to do well on the ISATS (tests) taken the year before, your over all grades and teacher recommendation. Then, our music teacher (who runs the enrichment group as well) sends out forms to the enrichment kids and the first however many kids bring in the form signed and with money get to be on the Team Quest teams. Then later on you find out your team (which would be made up of fellow "Big E" classmates.) The Big E is what a few of my friends and I call enrichment!:) The next round will be in Arcola again. The location for the finals has not been announced yet.
My favorite challenge was creating a four decker bunk bed out of cardboard, straws, paper, tape, etc! Each bed had to support a "doll", which was a small bowling pin filled with sand that weighed about two pounds. Our team made a bed with three bunks and it supported one doll.
I believe we did best with the challenge where we made an improved thing that we made out of a pile of glitter bottles, paper, a spring, a red puff ball, etc. We created a child safe TV and used a fork as the child lock key that could lock and unlock the "channels". It's display was the Mr. Fork show.

Team Quest
I was pretty exited about Thursday! I got the privilege to go team quest. My team and I placed 2ND and got a trophy that looked like a building block! (The theme was team building.) We had to finish challenges such as a 4 layer bunk bed, make anything out of a pile of junk (we made a "child safe TV"), answer trivia, do an 8 question page of quite hard math, and that's about it. Now, my team will go onto the regionals. I went to team quest last year too! Our team got second at the first round. Then we went onto finals and state. Here is my trophy!(below)

(above)my trophy from this year!:)
When you win first through fifth in the first round you move up to the regionals, then state.
